NAB 2026

I always try to get these published right away but…

This year was particularly strange. I ended up using quite a bit of AI for presentations using Gamma.App. Generally, it worked really well, and in fact, all my sessions are posted here.

It completely destroyed my color class presentation. For those of you who weren't there, it's an approach to color and color thinking using Adobe's new beta tools. It would be completely valuable if you were using the current Lumetri system, Resolve, or any other tool on the market.

Thankfully, since it was recorded and I'm sharing the recording here, I managed to rebuild the deck and actually, in many ways, think it goes along better with the recording, or even without. Clear thoughts about color. Not the deck I would have designed exactly, but pretty decent.

My four sessions that were “seminar style”

  • Staying Relevant in the Age of AI

  • Privacy First AI tools (local)

  • The Intuitive Guide to Color Correction

  • Everything you always wanted to know about Compression but were afraid to ask

PDF of the sessions here.

Recording of the Color Class here (From 320 GB (PR LT) to 432 MB (HEVC) - and pushed the audio through Podcast.Adobe.com.

And yes, you can get some consultation time (30 min for free!) with me here. Workflow? Color? Audio? AI? Premiere/Resolve/Avid/FCP? Yeah, I do that and more.

This is my really short bio. Once upon a time, I was a premed student who foolishly took a film class (and I was over 25 at the time!) I now teach the technologies involved in film/video. Feel free to ask me anything you'd like!
